Fly Shoot – Official National Rules. Revised 2022 No.2
Course of Fire:-
- All rimfire targets at 200 yards.
- If time permits, we’ll move to the 500m mound & run the centrefire FLY, all targets at 500m.
- Maximum rifle weight (including bipod if fitted) 17 lbs (7.711 kgs)
- Rimfire 25 rounds 22LR plus sighters, both standard velocity & hyper velocity allowed.
- Centrefire 25 rounds plus sighters, maximum calibre 8mm.
- 5 targets for the match.
- Time allowed for the warmer target 10 minutes.
- Time allowed for all other targets 7 minutes, 5 rounds on the target & 3 rounds for the separate sighter target.
Equipment:-
- Unlimited rifle scope power.
- Spotting Scope.
- Front & rear separate rests allowed.
- Wind flags allowed.
Restrictions:-
- no muzzle brakes
- no return-to-battery set-ups (e.g. rail guns)

All SSAA (NSW) Illawarra Branch events are organised & held for Illawarra Branch members, due to limited space being available, members of other SSAA Branches can only attend if/when space is available by invitation and with a confirmed booking a minimum of 24 hours before the event. Anyone arriving at the event without a confirmed booking will not be able to participate.
